Paedophile hysteria is eliminating men from early childhood teaching in Wairarapa and across the country, says Early Childhood Council chief executive Peter Reynolds. He said early childhood teaching was one of the most gender-segregated professions in the region and the country, with men making up less than 2 per cent of teacher numbers in the sector.
