An 11-year-old Merseyside boy is believed to have become Britain's youngest registered sex offender. He was 10 when he sexually assaulted a young girl. The boy was made to sign the register after being found guilty of sexually assaulting the 13-year-old girl in an Ainsdale park. But solicitor Rory McCormack, speaking on behalf of the boy's grandmother, said the family would appeal. Magistrates heard that the boy trapped the girl by lying on top of her and touched her breasts with both hands as she struggled to free herself.
