Father jailed for brutal abuse

A cruel father who has admitted brutally abusing his three-year-old son - including burning him with a cigarette lighter and using pliers to pull off a fingernail - was today jailed. Jason David Ogier, 38, who pleaded guilty to burning his son with a cigarette lighter, pulling out a fingernail with a pair of pliers and rubbing chili powder on his back, was jailed for two years and seven months.
