Gay youth attack social worker - Joyce Hunter gets in trouble for anti-boy-love remarks

According to news reports just recently appearing in the North American gay press, New York social worker Joyce Hunter was attacked for anti-man/boy love remarks in July, 1990, at the seventh World Conference of the International Lesbian and Gay Youth Organization (ILGYO) in Zürich, Switzerland. The keynote speaker was Joyce Hunter, director of the Hetrick Martin Institute for Protection of Lesbian and Gay Youth. According to a report in the April, 1991, issue of Rites, the Canadian lesbian and gay monthly, "Controversy erupted during Hunter's speech when she made remarks against boy-lovers. Many of the lesbian and gay youths in attendance expressed strong disagreement with Ms. Hunter's remarks, stating their firm position in support of consensual intergenerational sexuality and relationships."
