Sex offender suspect dead after shootout wounds 2 U.S. marshals

The two-year search for a child molester ended Monday in a wild shootout inside a West Village smoke shop that left the suspect dead and three lawmen wounded. Charles Mozdir blasted away at an NYPD detective and two U.S. marshals with a .32-caliber revolver when the officers tried to pry him out of the Smoking Culture shop on W. Fourth St., where he had been working as a salesman.
