A young couple narrowly escaped with their lives after an arsonist mistook their flat for the home of a suspected paedophile. Craig Smith, 28, and his girlfriend Amy Towle, 19, were watching TV when the firebug poured fuel through the letterbox of their home in Stockport and set it alight. The attacker is believed to be a vigilante who was targeting a suspected sex offender but chose the wrong address.
