Orkopoulos refused bail on latest charges

Former New South Wales Aboriginal Affairs minister Milton Orkopoulos has been refused bail in Newcastle Local Court. The extra charges of homosexual intercourse with a child, indecent assault and supplying a prohibited drug brings the total number of charges against the former minister to 54. [...]

Sergeant Hahn said the three alleged victims did not know each other so there was no evidence of any collusion between them. Magistrate Richard Wakely agreed that due to the strength of the case and the number of new charges, bail should be refused.
