A mother is angry that after a 14-year-old baby sitter engaged in sexual conduct with her eight-year-old boy, authorities charged her son. Prosecutors have since dropped the charges against the boy. The woman said the sexual conduct occurred during a game of "truth or dare" while the boy was being watched by the baby sitter. "She dared my son to touch her breasts," the woman told Salt Lake City television station KUTV.

When her son told her what happened, she went to police and child protection workers, and the case went to the district attorney, after which her son was charged with an act of lewdness with a minor. The woman said prosecutors told her that the child and teenager were equal participants. "My son is eight, he's a little boy. He does not have the ability to participate on the same level as a 14-year old," she said. Although the charges against her son were dropped, she is concerned that the same thing could happen to other victims of sexual abuse.
