New York Council members are applauding the arrest of Manhattan radio station disc jockey, Troi Torain, also known as DJ Star. He is facing charges for allegedly making threats against a child while on the air. He is now charged with aggravated harassment and endangering the welfare of a child. [...]

Deejay Star, the morning man on hip-hop station Power 105, actually went on the air and threatened sexual assault against a four-year-old girl. That girl is the daughter of a rival deejay on Hot 97. [...] In a statement, the radio station's owner said, "Power 105 finds recent remarks by Troi Torain of Star and Buc Wild Morning Show to be wholly unacceptable. As of late this afternoon, he is no longer with Power 105.1 or Clear Channel Radio. We sincerely apologize to those who may have been offended by his remarks." His remarks offended countless numbers of people including local politicians and the four-year-old's mother, who in an emotional news conference talked about the threat.
