Why it is wrong to murder

I heard on the radio about someone getting caught being sexual with three preteen girls. What I thought was interesting is that the guy talking to the press about the arrest felt the need to explain why sexual interactions with girls under the age of consent is wrong. Imagine feeling the need to describe why murder is wrong, or why fraud is wrong, or why stealing is wrong.
